Class product enhancements for the December release include:

1. An easier ability to manage Breakout Rooms, and stay updated on activity:

• Next Generation All Breakouts Tab - Facilitators can now view conversations across all breakout rooms simultaneously with improvements to the All Breakouts tab.  This feature can be enabled in the Class Administration Settings.

   

2. New Quick-and-Easy Polls

• Quick Polls - Instructors and Assistants can now launch Quick Polls and view responses directly in the Gallery View. This is available for all Instructors, including those using Enhanced LMS integration.
  

3. Support for Additional Languages in Closed Captions

• Expanded support for additional languages in closed captions improves accessibility and inclusivity. Institutions can configure captions to meet the specific needs of their participants.

• Next Generation All Breakouts Tab - Facilitators can now view conversations across all breakout rooms simultaneously with improvements to the All Breakouts tab.  This feature can be enabled in the Class Administration Settings.

• Allow participants to return to the main session - Facilitators can now choose to allow or prevent participants from returning to the main session from a breakout room.

• Enhanced Breakout Room assignment tools - the assignment dropdown now lists all active Rostered users, instead of only unassigned users.  The lists are also now sorted alphabetically.

2. End user feedback on the Class experience:

• At the end of the session, or when a user leaves the session, Class will now request feedback on the experience.  This feedback is optional and will help Class with future product improvements.

• End user surveys are enabled by default for all users, except for K-12 institutions where they will be enabled by default for instructors only.

• Performance benchmark tests have been added to the end user survey and the user’s profile menu, which will assess device capabilities and help Class make future performance optimizations.

1. Significantly improved annotation and content sharing experience with Next Generation Class Tabs:

• Follow Me Mode - When launching Learning and Collaborate Tools, instructors can now turn on “Follow Me Mode” for content in the embedded Class Tab which will force learners to see what the instructor sees.

  • Annotate on Websites and Files  - Instructors can now annotate on embedded content in Learning and Collaborate Tools, such as Websites, Files, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Docs, and Enhanced LMS pages. Instructors can also allow learners to annotate. 

2. Three new ways to easily share content:

• Google Drive and Microsoft Office 365 Integration - Class now supports launching Google Drive and Microsoft Office 365 files within sessions, with native viewing and annotation capabilities. You can find this in Collaborate > Files.

  • Files 2.0 - The new Files now integrates all file types including .ppt, .doc, .pdf, .xls, .jpeg, .png, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office 365 files for easier access and management. Files 2.0 will now default to Instructor visible only. To allow a Learner to access a File without an instructor, mark it as a Learner Resource.

  • Learner Resources - Instructors can mark Files as Learner Resources, controlling learner access as needed. Previously uploaded Files will all be automatically marked as Learner Resources so Learners will not lose access to them.

If other Army users aren't experiencing this then what did you special to get it to work without dropping folks? I am just trying to determine if it is a bandwidth issue or if it is something else like a NEC issue where they have to do something on their end. I have tried to troubleshoot this many times with helpdesk and because it happens sporadically and to so many different people unless someone is willing to sit the whole time in the sessions it is hard to pin down. The same person could join one day and have no issues and then the next day have issues all day long. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

• Instructors, when proctoring, can now switch and view all screens when participant has more than one screen available
  

  

• Instructors can now pause and resume their screen share in a live Class
  

  

• Attendees can now also pop-out the Gallery View as a new window, allowing it to be maximized to the entire size of the monitor
  

  

• Manual captioners can now download captions as a text file

• Coming Soon: Instructors will have the ability to quickly launch a new version of Polls.  This feature will be available for use through the Class Configuration screen from the Admin Portal soon
